Chevy Chase Contemporary Upgrade

For this Chevy Chase, DC project was designed with entertaining in mind. We demolished a small, outdated one-story addition and built a larger one, with a new kitchen, family room, powder room, and mudroom. By reworking the floor plan of this new addition the updated configuration fosters an improved flow between the kitchen and family room, making it an ideal environment for hosting family gatherings and social events.

The addition also facilitated the inclusion of a dedicated mudroom, ensuring a clutter-free space for guests and family to shed shoes and outerwear. A conveniently located powder room on this level eliminates the need for guests to access upper floors during social events.

The project incorporates design elements that enhance the home's functionality. A designated bar area provides a focal point for socializing, while its unique backsplash tile adds a touch of sophistication. The powder room and kitchen eating area feature playful wallpaper, injecting a sense of vibrancy without sacrificing elegance. These modern finishes with pops of personality create a welcoming and stylish space.
