This project transformed a 1926 home by adding a versatile space that serves as both a tranquil home office and a welcoming entryway. The addition included a dedicated powder room for office visitors and seamlessly integrated with the existing primary bedroom, complete with new closets and storage solutions.
The design focused on creating a clear separation between the new living space and the original foyer. A powder room was strategically placed to accommodate office visitors, and the existing bedroom window was expanded to become the main entrance to the addition. Built-in shelves were incorporated into a unique nook, maximizing storage space within the addition's footprint.
The addition features a calming and minimalist aesthetic, perfectly suited for a relaxing home office. High-quality materials like Hardie-panel siding and asphalt shingles were used for the exterior, ensuring durability and low maintenance. Interior finishes were selected to create a serene atmosphere, with a focus on natural light and a harmonious blend of modern and traditional elements.
