This Glover Park home underwent a significant transformation to create an open and inviting main living space. By removing a load-bearing wall and installing a steel beam, we seamlessly integrated the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Custom built-ins in the family room and chair rail in the dining room added refined touches to the space.
The original galley kitchen was completely redesigned to optimize functionality and flow. The removal of the wall opened the space, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. The kitchen features a large island with a pale gray base and white shaker cabinets, as well as a bank of shallow wall cabinets for additional storage. The angled basement door from the kitchen improved accessibility.
This project blends modern and classic elements for a sophisticated yet comfortable ambiance. White shaker cabinets, a pale gray island, and mixed metals create a clean and contemporary look. Large wood and metal pendants add a touch of industrial charm. The bar area's glass-front cabinets showcase glassware and barware, while the living room's custom built-ins provide a warm and inviting focal point.
