Capitol Hill Penthouse

This Washington, D.C. rowhouse owner sought to transform their underutilized rooftop into a stunning outdoor oasis. We worked closely with the client to design a functional and stylish deck that maximized the space while adhering to strict historic preservation guidelines. The project involved constructing a new deck structure, privacy walls, and a dedicated access point, all tailored to the unique challenges of the rooftop environment.

To accommodate the client’s desire for both relaxation and entertainment, we carefully planned the deck layout. We optimized the space to offer breathtaking views of the Washington Monument and Capitol Building while ensuring ample room for outdoor furniture. The design process included extensive coordination with the Historic Review Board to guarantee compliance with preservation regulations.
