Chevy Chase Craftsman Expansion

This project involved a complete transformation of a brick home to create a modern and functional living space for a growing family. The existing layout was inefficient, with three bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and bathroom awkwardly arranged on the first floor. To address this, we reconfigured the entire first floor to create an open and inviting family living area. We also added a second story to accommodate the bedrooms, resulting in a significant increase in square footage.

The design of the addition seamlessly blends with the existing brick bungalow, creating a harmonious and cohesive look. We incorporated Craftsman-style elements, such as a gable roofline, dormers, and a covered front porch, to enhance the home's charm. The interior layout is optimized for functionality, with an open-concept living area on the first floor and private bedrooms on the second.

The interior design is characterized by a clean and contemporary aesthetic, with a focus on functionality and natural light. The addition features a neutral color palette, complemented by modern lighting fixtures and sleek hardware. The exterior boasts a combination of brick and stone, with a mix of modern and traditional elements.
